From the Heart had another fun filled summer with performances coming soon this fall! The junior group worked hard on their jazz, tap and lyrical routines to earn a novelty hip hop dance. They were inspired to push themselves to new heights with the help of student assistant Nick Labbé. They ranged in age from 8 - 10 years old this year with our newest members joining in the fun and sweat! All learned how a little hard work can pay off!
Our senior group did a jazz, lyrical, tap and a combination ballet and hip hop routine. With students from 12 - 17 years old, it was a more ecclectic group and challenging to choreograph. We had some difficulty finding costumes, but all ended with something for each routine!
As usual, we had plenty of fun at the car wash with no sunburns this year! Thanks again to Campus Auto in Amherst for allowing us to take up part of their parking lot and for donating the car wash solution. That was awesome!
Our first two performances at the Three County Fair went off very well. The dancers learned how to work around obstacles (this time a pole in the middle of the stage) and to change costumes quickly. All routines were well received and as always we enjoyed when our Juniors and Seniors got to dance together in the opening and closing routines. Great job girls!
